When running the Australian Outback Marathon, training is important, diet is important, but as equally important is the support from runners loved ones.
There’s nothing more uplifting than seeing your family or friends at the halfway point cheering you on or at mile 25 to help you push through that last stretch. Not to mention, who better to celebrate your achievement with after you’ve crossed the finish line!
Friends and family of marathoners are welcome to line any part of the route making a special addition to the already spectacular scenery. The support spectators can provide is invaluable not just to their own friends and family running the race but for all marathoners. All cheering and encouragement adds to the atmosphere and runner experience.
